Where do we go from here

One of the first parts of the journey of rebuilding Greensburg will soon be a memory after last week.
The remaining residents of Femaville had to be out of the 'ville by May 6.
We have had to endure some little inconveniences out there, like trying to find out what trailer is yours, besides the white one. The formaldehyde scare, rain that made getting to or into the trailers next to impossible, the constant rocking whenever the wind blew, last year's close encounter with yet another tornado just south of town, rain, snow and dirt sneaking into windows and or doors, hearing the neighbors coming home or anyone outside talking and the cramped spacing with no room for storage.
All that said I kinda miss the 'ville. It was a nice warm feeling moving back to town. Sure we were all close but that made everyone closer. Not just physically but emotionally, living that close to family, friends, neighbors even people you knew of but never quite knew.
We got to see the newest paved roads in town when they paved our gravel roads. Kids could ride or walk to each others trailer and everyone knew what the other was going through. When the trailers started leaving, I thought is was great. That meant that a family or friend had got to get into a home.
We were thankful to have a roof over our heads and even happier to be out of Femaville. But, I still look back and enjoy the time I spent there.
